Two unidentified men who stormed a funeral in Kabale and could not account for their presence there were last night beaten up mob leading to the death of one of the victims.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly told journalists that the two men stormed a night vigil in Kibikura cell , Bugongi upper in Northern Division where they were cornered by residents after they failed to identify themselves.

The residents then took the law into their hands and started to beat them up because they suspected them to be thieves who have been terrorising the area.
Maate however said that the Area LC leaders later informed the Police who arrived at the scene and found the two men already unconscious and rushed them to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital where one of them was declared dead on arrival.
The Police has since registered a case of murder under reference number 05/13/12/2018 to help in investigations and asked people whose close relative is missing to go to the mortuary and identity the deceased since the one who survived is still in command and can not talk.
