📌 According to Ministry of Health, the learners, who are not ordinary residents of Mubende and Kassanda districts will be dispatched in a staggered manner as they head for the term three breaks. They will be dropped by their respective schools at Kololo ceremonial grounds, from where they will then be transported, using government transports to their home districts.

📌Hon. Rose Mary Nyakikongoro, the chairperson of the Parliament’s Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs revealed that the committee rejected the government’s proposal to hike fees for replacing lost national identity cards. The Speaker, Anita Among demanded to know if the prices could not be reduced as this is the concern of the Member of Parliament. Gen. Muhoozi pledged to consult and report back.

📌 Dr. Stephen Pande, the Director of Moroto Regional Referral Hospital revealed that they recieved a CT scan machine at the facility. They have been referring patients in need of CT scan services to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital or Mulago Specialised hospital for diagnosis. He said this while receiving the CT scan from the Ministry of Health yesterday.

📌The Ugandan police on Saturday 12th November rescued a 7-year-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped by unknown men while playing with his friends on 6th November 2022. According to Police, Jonathan Lubuulwa, a primary 1 pupil at Master Cares Christian School in Kyotera District was abducted and the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Ugx15 million. Police was able to locate the kidnappers in Nansana and arrested 6 suspects while rescuing the minor who was found alive and safe.

📌Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) granted Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) license. 📌The Police in Kabale district arrested Ivan Mugayehwenkyi the Rubaya sub-county chief and Wilberforce Tumwesigye, the treasurer over embezzlement of Ugx67 million that was meant to play developments in the sub-county. According to Godfrey Nyakahuma, the Kabale Resident District Commissioner, they recently received a tip-off from the concerned whistleblowers in the sub county that they had spent almost three years without any service apart from constructing the sub county Administration block and One Kilometer Bushonga-Mukibindi-Habugarama road.

📌A disagreement ensued between the Speaker of Budaka District Council and the Councillors over holding fewer meetings than stipulated. It is alleged that trouble started after the Councillors, headed by Iki Iki Sub County Councilor, Anthony Kateu asked the Speaker Alice Kataike to meet them on the sidelines to discuss why they had held only 3 meetings other than the 6 stipulated ones. However, Kataike turned down their request hence causing a storm.

📌The National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) has partnered with the South Korean government to carry out comparative studies in schools. While speaking at Mbarara High School in Mbarara City during the official launch of the programme, the curriculum specialist for history and political science at NCDC, Mr. Said Twine stated that their target is to influence social-economic transformation in Uganda.

📌Officials from the State House Political Section have urged vendors to embrace government development programs to improve their livelihoods. 📌 Major Stephen Alituha, the Fisheries Protection Unit (FPU) Commandant on Lake Edward confirmed the arrest of 24 Congolese. 📌The construction of Ntungamo Municipality Central Market has been pushed to the next financial year 2023/2024. 📌A community-based organization, Million Trees International Organization (Greening Uganda Campaign) continues to create an impact on tree donating and planting in most parts of the country aiming to save mother nature from dangers of the climate crisis. 📌Kisubi Hospital has unveiled a standardised medical laboratory which was recently accredited by South African National Accreditation System (SANAS), an international organisation from South Africa. The accreditation makes Kisubi’s laboratory one of the few in Uganda that are fully accredited by SANAS. Speaking to the media at the unveiling, Kisubi Hospital managing director, Dr Robert Asaba said the accreditation has been attained with help of partners including; Ministry of Health, Crown Healthcare (CHC), and Mindray as the processing partners.

📌The Police in Fort portal have in custody two suspected thieves that were arrested with stolen slaughtered goats in a sack. Fred Muhanguzi, the central division police CID confirmed the arrest of Sanyu Sulait, 45, a welder at Isekahungu in Kasusu and Happy Charles, 52, a casual worker from Bukwali central division who were arrested at 1am. It is alleged that Sanyu stole his mother’s goat and connected with Happy in Kiculeta Bazaar ward in central division who helped him to slaughter it and then pack it in a sack to transfer it from one butcher to another in the middle of the night until they were arrested.

📌Members of Joint Admissions Board (JAB) have asked the government to increase funding of institutions to avoid over-stretching of their budgets. 📌The Community Development Office Ruhumuro Sub County affirmed that Government paid all elderly persons in Ruhumuro and Kyabugimbi Town Council their monthly SAGE allowances for the last three months yesterday evening. The payment was done by Bushenyi District Community Development Office at Ruhumuro Sub-county and Kyabugimbi Town headquarters respectively.

📌Second phase of polio vaccination has been launched in Fort Portal today, where school going children are to receive the first vaccination before going back home. Solomon Asiimwe the city health officer revealed that increase in polio case was announced in Uganda by the Ministry of Health in August 2021, which forced government to kick off with vaccination in January 2022 to prevent young children below the age of 5years from the killer disease.

📌The RDC Budaka Magunda commended government for the plan to extend safe piped water to the district. This was revealed during the District sensitization meeting on Geo-Technical Company investigations which was attended by CDOs, LC. I, LC. II and LC.III Chairpersons in the district council chambers. The RDC adviced that connections should start from water-stressed belts like Naboa, Kakoli, Budaka, Lyama and Tademeri among others.

📌The Vice President H.E. Jessica Alupo Epel commissioned a granary/Farmers’ Bulking Centre constructed by government. She advised residents to take advantage of the facility to increase agricultural production. The granary is located at Abarata market on Apuuton village in Okuda parish under the LEGS program.
