📌At least 222 boda boda cyclists have been arrested and their motorcycles impounded for violating the lockdown measures in the two Ebola affected districts of Mubende and Kassanda. According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the motorcycles were impounded along with five vehicles.

📌The Police impounded a Link bus at Kigarama stage, Myanzi sub-county in Kassanda district. According to the Wamala Region Police spokesperson, Rachael Kawala, the Link bus was impounded after it allegedly picked up passengers from Kigarama stage in Kassanda, contrary to guidelines issued by the President.

📌The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) is transitioning from the printed paper bills to the use of email and SMS for the monthly billing. According to Eng. Silver Mugisha, the Managing Director, the upgrade started with the areas under Kampala Water and will be rolled out to other companies with time. “This will create more flexibility, convenience and better customer experience. The system has commenced with Kampala Water and will be rolled out to other NWSC companies after,” Eng Mugisha stated in a tweet.

📌The Catholic Bishops in Uganda have released a Child Safeguarding Policy to promote the Rights and Protection of children from any form of abuse under the circles of the Catholic Church. The drafting of the policy started in 2011, produced in 2016, approved by the Uganda Episcopal Conference in 2018 and sent to Rome which also approved it in 2021. The Child Safeguarding Policy has got three main parts including the Values, Principles and Commitment to child protection.

📌According to Fred Enanga, the Uganda police Spokesperson, police arrested two suspects who are alleged to be involved in child trafficking of three male juvenile under seventeen years as well as having un-natural practices of sodomy against them. The incident happened at Kyalibu Cell, Kiterede Ward, Kimanya- Kabonero Division in Masaka District.

📌A fresher student, Namugembe Joan, who was pursuing Bachelors in Procurement and Logistics at Kyambogo University, succumbed to injuries sustained from a boda boda accident on Sunday. It was revealed that she had initially joined Kyambogo University in the Academic year 2021/2022 but could not progress due to unsolvable challenges. She retreated and had thus come back for another shot.

Among the benefited districts in Teso sub region include; Bukedea, Ngora and Bulambuli. 📌According to Fred Enanga, the Uganda Police Spokesperson, three teachers only identified as teacher Juliet, Teddy and Madam Kuku, from Vision Academy and Nursery School in Mpigi district are in hot soup after recording a viral video clip of two minors doing oral sex while in class. Fred Enanga revealed that teachers who are currently on the run committed child abuse by exposing six kindergarten children aged between 3 and 6 years to sexual acts under duress, beating them and recording a video clip where children admitted to playing sex.

📌 The Minister for Health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng yesterday afternoon commissioned Madudu Isolation facility in Mubende district. 📌At least 14 senior four students of Mugobi Secondary School in Bugobi Town Council, Namutumba District are staring at a bleak future after their headmaster, Mr. Godfrey Musasizi allegedly failed to remit their registration fees amounting to about Shs2.5 million. According to the District Education Officer, Mr. Muhammad Isiko, Mr Musasizi had 17 candidates but only paid the registration fees for three students yet he received money from all the 17 students.

📌Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Monday ordered Germany’s three remaining nuclear plants to remain in operation until April next year to prevent a possible energy crunch. He asked the Economy, Environment and Finance Ministries to create the legal basis for the plants to remain open.
