📌Kampala Capital City Authority-KCCA has intensified measures to respond to the Ebola outbreak in the city. Over the weekend, the Ministry of Health announced a rise in the number of infections within the city center. Dr. Alex Ndyabakira, the City Incident Commander says that the authority has activated their response teams in the five divisions of Kampala to respond to any alert that is reported from communities, as well as following up on contacts of Ebola victims.
🇺🇬Senior Four student punches security guard to death
📌A Senior 4 student at Luzira Senior Secondary School punched a security guard only identified as Geoffrey to death. According to the Deputy Police Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident happened yesterday Tuesday 25th October 2022, and the student is currently on the run.

📌The Police in Soroti City have arrested five members of a criminal gang who have been terrorizing residents in the area. Those arrested are Vincent Opolon, 68, Ronald Kato, 45, Isaac Opolon, 22, Peter Eyamu, 44, and Justine Opali. The group was arrested following the robbery of Shs68 million from a businesswoman Stella Apolot on 11th October 2022. It is alleged that the thugs connived with a Boda- Boda cyclist Joseph Eligu to attack the victim who was carrying money in her handbag from home around 7:00 pm.

📌The Apostolic Nunciature of Uganda has announced the appointment of Rev. Fr. Dominic Eibu as the new bishop of Kotido diocese. According to the representative of Pope Francis in Uganda, Luigi Bianco, Rev. Fr. Eibu was appointed by Pope Francis on 25th October, 2022. He replaces Rt. Rev. Guiseppe Filippi who resigned upon reaching the canonical age limit after serving since 2009.

📌Police in Arua police opened investigations against the head teacher of Manibe Secondary School, Ajidiru Hoglas for denying a student to sit UCE exams. Ayikobua Joseph who had registered to sit for this year’s senior four exams was stopped from sitting on allegations of school fees defaulting.
📌According to the West Nile Region Police Spokesperson Josephine Angucia, they discovered that the student was a true student of Manibe secondary school with registration number U2180/012 UCE 2022 and was duly to sit for exams at Manibe Public Secondary School but was not allowed to sit.

📌A passage of storm Sitrang along the coast of Bangladesh has killed at least 35 people. Most of the deaths are due to falling trees and capsized boats. In addition, the storm has downed trees plus power poles, and water has flooded several localities.
The storm has affected homes, 33,000 hectares of crops and wiped-out thousands of fisheries.
